This is the true story of my confinement.

Registered Occupational Therapist
My Sister... has taught me even more, the understanding and meaning of family.
Leading me in the direction of the people and organizations that helped me rectify this abusive situation can never be outdone.
Without her love, care and understanding, I would definitely not have been able to contact anyone, who in the long run, offered the avenues to achieve my freedom.
My love for her, undying.
Her involvement never forgotten.
My thanks eternal..
Mrs. Tiffany Polaski
Michigan Department of Health and Human Services / Adult Division
I can honestly say Tiffany is the one who led the direct approach to end my abuse and confinement.
The driving force of all directions taken.
Gaining my trust is not an easy thing to do. It did take some time, but most definitely took place. I will be indebted forever.
Her drive and tenacity far exceeds anyone I have met in life.
I have been blessed in life many times over. But Tiffany.... An Angel in disguise.
Mr. Mark Witte
Director Allegan County Community Mental Health
Long time friend, Due to Life Changes, I have not had any communication for a very long time.
I cannot tell you the joy I felt knowing that our friendship has lasted for so long.
His support and direction will and does mean the world to me.
Mr. Timothy J. Pieri MSW LMSW LLC
Founder / Cheif Executive Officer The Wellbeing LLC.
An extreme leader in the course of my life since 1993 he has been not only a true professional but also a close friendship had developed over the years.
Due to my extreme no contact orders supplied by Guardian Care, I cannot express the joy of being able to hear his voice after 2 1/2 years.
A 3-way "unapproved" phone call initiated by my sister brought the hope and faith to continue on and hold tight to the person I have worked very hard to be.
Mr. Robert J Maniere Jr
Chief Executive Officer / Founder Comfort Prosthetics Inc
A friend for 12+ years, it was he who helped and execute a plan to dissolve the abuse initiated by Guardian Care Inc.
His understanding and view of the torment ultimately ended the confinement I had endured for two and a half years.
I can never express the magnitude of my gratitude...
Attorney Amir Abu-Aita
Legal Representative
“Gratitude” Is all I can say.
The legal representation he provided, can never be matched in any way.
If I had to describe him it would be “Way Beyond Call of Duty”.
There are people in this world that will stand up and do what’s right. Amir is absolutely one of those people.
Offering services and understanding for someone he does not know, can only describe his integrity, character and insight into the difference of right and wrong.
Many thanks!
I’m sure that without your participation I would still be in the midst of emotional, mental and physical abuse.

Mrs. Chelsea Long
Attendant Care Provider / Housewife / Mother of Two.
To Whom This May Concern,My name is Chelsey Long and proud to offer my recommendation of Jason Oldenbroek to whom I have personally known for 9 years as my friend.
I worked with Jason for 5 years. It was not hard for him to become a part of my life and family. We kept in contact after I left my position.
Jason is one of the most understanding people that I know. He is always there for friends and family, you call him and you know he will answer and be there with open ears. I've been there for Jason through some hard times, and I still see him try and stay positive.
He is very ambitious with his life, even through all of the hardships. He really tries to make the best of every situation.
Jason is someone I am very thankful for being a part of my life. He deserves the utmost care and compassion.
Ms. Amanda Strahan
Attendant care provider / Mother of One
I have known Jason for going on five years now, he is both a friend and previous client. During this time I was his in-home Care Attendant for two years.
Jason and I grew very close and these recent allegations have taken me by surprise and are troubling to me.In the time I’ve known and spent with Jason he has never been violent or aggressive in any way. In fact, quite the opposite, Jason is generous and kind..
His staff was there to help him and he took care of his staff and welcomed them in like family.Jason has always been a caring and thoughtful individual. Regardless of his own personal struggles he always made an effort to ensure his staff was happy, comfortable and taken care of.
It is because of his humble, loving nature that we have remained friends beyond my employment.
For all these reasons I am happy to write a letter of recommendation for Jason.
Ms. Jan Norton Fairchild
Realtor / Friend of 30 years
I met Jason over two decades ago at a church service in Grand Rapids, Mi. where we became friends.
As I got to know him better, he told me about his motor vehicle accident and mentioned he had several challenges from it which I never would have guessed had he not told me.
He was not one to complain about his ailments or use them as an excuse - which is what I admire about him. On the contrary! He told me he had had a bout with drugs -perhaps from the medication surrounding the accident - and was regularly attending NA/AA meetings to surround himself with support. He was religious about attending his meetings.
His charismatic personality and his brutal honesty made him so many friends in that environment. I found he had a confidence about him, a commitment to not be a victim, to live his life respectfully and with passion.
He loves music. He had an ear injury that I think left him partially deaf but he did not let that stop him. He was often mixing tapes of favorite music for friends. He plays the guitar and is quite good at it, often sharing his gift with others.
He lost his sense of taste and smell yet continued to to entertain, relearning how to cook fabulous gourmet meals with the perfect amount of spices. He had a gift…lots of them. And he shared his gifts with those around him.
Jason is an inspiration to many. I believe God’s plan for Jason has really just begun. I pray he will get the chance to fulfill God's plan for him. I hope and pray you will be instrumental in helping to make that happen.
Anne Marie Sheridan

Again after the fact, Anne Marie Sheridan has become a vital part of my life. Her understanding and help and maintaining my new direction has been most beneficial in dealing with 3 years of PTSD, emotional and mental abuse. I'm highly blessed.
And more came
They cared and they came
Ms.Susan Carney
I've known Jason for 17 years, he used to store his Corvette in my garage in the winter, and has been a longtime friend.
He lived in a duplex, within a mile of my home. He was taking care of himself and did a good job of doing so. He also took very good care of his dog, and maintained his housekeeping well.
He has been stripped of everything he once owned, his dog, his cars, and all of his personal possessions by a system of caretakers, that has left him with NOTHING!!
I, myself am a caretaker, employed by Great Lakes Healthcare Resources. I am utterly appalled by the fact that this has been allowed to happen to someone who did not deserve to be treated in such a unacceptable manner.
I would dare say, it's inhumane! The fact that he's not allowed even a cell phone, and has no say about his care, is abuse and negligence to say the least.
I would testify that Jason is being abused & his human rights have been trampled.
Thank you, Susan Carney
Mrs. Renee Miles
To Whom It May concern,
Jason oldenbrook has been more than a friend of mine since 2005.
My husband and I met him through our affiliation with various recovery organizations throughout West Michigan.
We know him as the publisher of Living Large Recovery Monthly Publications, as a leader in the recovery groups and organizations throughout West Michigan.
Jason is more than a friend in the sense that he has professionally and personally intervened in recovery efforts within my household and I watched him involve himself in many more lives.
Jason has encountered tremendous setbacks as a result of his traumatic injuries. I have seen him suffer greatly and I personally resolved to help him whatever way I possibly can.
Jason is a Hero.
We do not properly recognize heroes in today's society, and when great people fall, and have setbacks, they tend to fall hard and we need to help.
Please regard Jason Oldenbroek has one of our heroes, who has an incredible gift of leadership to offer, and a heart for people in recovery.
Help him get back to where he needs to be.
Warm regards Mrs.. Renee Miles
